Description
Linzer cookies are a must on any cookie platter! A layer of fine jam is sandwiched between two cookies, with the top one featuring a hole or two to showing a tantalising glimpse of the delicious jam. This traditional Christmas speciality is a delicious treat not only for the festive season, but all year round!
Instructions:
Use the front side to cut out cookies from the rolled-out dough. Then turn the cutter over and use the other side to cut out three small holes in every other cookie - which will be the top half of the double cookies - giving them their distinctive appearance. Bake both the top (with holes) and bottom halves. After baking, spread some jam or jelly on the bottom halves and place the top half (with holes) on top. Dust with icing sugar.
